HOSPITAL FLOWERS, by MRS. VIRGIL BROWNE First Line: In all the silent halls and rooms Last Line: Your beauty in my heart abides. Subject(s): Consolation; Flowers; Hospitals | ||||||||
In all the silent halls and rooms Where pain and sorrows dwell, Your presence breathes a sweet perfume When words their sympathy can't tell. You are in love and reverence held, God fashioned you so fair, -- No matter how your name is spelled, Love and friendship placed you there. The memory of you cannot fade Though you were cast aside, Your leaves, all dried from too much shade, Your beauty in my heart abides. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...HAVING BEEN ASKED WHAT IS A MAN?
