FRIEND OF SINNERS, by RICHARD BURNHAM First Line: Jesus! Thou art the sinner's friend Last Line: Dear lord! Remember me. Subject(s): Jesus Christ | ||||||||
Jesus! Thou art the sinner's Friend; As such I look to Thee; Now, in the fullness of Thy love, O Lord! remember me. Remember Thy pure word of grace-- Remember Calvary; Remember all Thy dying groans, And then remember me. Thou wondrous Advocate with God! I yield myself to Thee; While Thou art sitting on Thy throne, Dear Lord! remember me. Lord! I am guilty--I am vile, But Thy salvation's free; Then, in Thine all-abounding grace, Dear Lord! remember me. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THE GREEN CHRIST by ANDREW HUDGINS MEDITATION ON SAVIORS by ROBINSON JEFFERS COMPANIONSHIP by MALTBIE DAVENPORT BABCOCK TO A WREN ON CALVARY by LARRY LEVIS THE TRANSFIGURATION by EDWIN MUIR SOUNDS OF THE RESURRECTED DEAD MAN'S FOOTSTEPS (#3): 1.
