MASQUE AT THE MARRIAGE OF THE EARL OF SOMERSET: ETERNITY SINGS ALONE, by                 Poet Analysis     Poet's Biography
First Line: Bring away this sacred tree
Last Line: Against a charm, that charm shall fade away.

Bring away this sacred tree,
The tree of grace and bounty,
Set it in Bel-Anna's eye,
For she, she, only she
Can all knotted spells untie.
Pulled from the stock, let her blest hands convey
To any suppliant hand a bough,
And let that hand advance it now
Against a charm, that charm shall fade away.
