THE TRAIL OF NO RETURN, by JESSIE JANE HUSSEY CASKEY First Line: Along the trail my way I wend Last Line: Away, from world sojourn. Subject(s): Future Life; Roads; Retribution; Eternity; After Life; Paths; Trails | ||||||||
Along the trail my way I wend, -- The Trail Of No Return, -- That nearing is my journey's end, 'Tis mine to now discern. I leave, for aye, your stress and strife, Oh world, to me unkind, And long to reach the higher life, Beloved there to find. Mistakes I've made, committed sin, The years of living here; But pray forgiveness I'm to win, The faith, mine, naught to fear; Encouraged, so, the trail I tread, -- The Trail Of No Return, -- That leads on to the heights overhead, Away, from world sojourn. | Other Poems of Interest...HE FINDS THE MANSION by JAMES MCMICHAEL BY DIFFERENT PATHS by MARVIN BELL DRIVING HOME by MADELINE DEFREES ART IS PARALLEL TO NATURE by CLARENCE MAJOR HIGHWAY 2, ILLINOIS by LISEL MUELLER |
