HATE ME A LITTLE, by WILL CHAMBERLAIN First Line: Hate me a little if you cannot love Last Line: Hate me a little if you cannot love. Subject(s): Hearts; Love - Complaints | ||||||||
Hate me a little if you cannot love. Nor do I wish a faint heart's tricking praise. I choose the love, but do not mock My soul with nibbles from begrudging ways. Scorn me a little if you cannot pour For me a clear, full glass of wine. I'll take the drink if it be true and frank, But not the dregs and drippings of the vine. Spare me your frail uncertainties. Test me with hate and let it prove Whether I'm worthy, whether fit.
