HOME, by DOROTHY A. CLARK First Line: Home is what we make it Last Line: That live, and love, and smile. Subject(s): Home; Materialism | ||||||||
Home is what we make it, A haven of content, Or just a place at which to stay Where with cares we are bent. So why not have the former? 'Tis as easy as can be, Just smile and look for happiness And what a change you'll see. It's not material things that count Or that make a home worth while, It is the occupants within That live, and love, and smile. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...BELIEVE, BELIEVE by BOB KAUFMAN SERVICE by GEORGIA DOUGLAS JOHNSON THE GOLDEN AGE by WILLIAM EDMONSTOUNE AYTOUN WEDNESDAY IN Y' HOLY WEEK by JOSEPH BEAUMONT TIS LITTLE I COULD CARE FOR PEARLS by EMILY DICKINSON MATERIALIST by HORTENSE KING FLEXNER |
