NATURE GIFTS, by
First Line: Mother says, 'get up, jack'
Last Line: "all my burdens grow more light."
Subject(s): Courage; Pleasure; Valor; Bravery

Mother says, "Get up, Jack,
For the pleasures you have missed.
Flowers are anodding so
For the dew drops they have kissed.

"With a practiced eye I see
Gold, red, blue suffuse the sky,
Just a veil of harmony
Through the sun that's shining high.

"Weak and trembling for the day
This a courage gives once more
So I brush the tears away
Leave the sunbeams through my door,

"Which is open wide to stay
And the room is full of light.
In this mist of ecstasy
All my burdens grow more light."
