Look, little house, I am laughing at you,
With your poor little kitchen all in blue,
And your fireplace, and easy chair,
Your warmth and coziness in the air.
And your fat red chimney against the sky.
Oh, little house, you told a lie!
You promised me things that never came true,
And so, little house, I'm laughing at you.
(I always shed tears when I laugh, you see,
At the comical trick you played on me.)
