I climb through terraced gardens, see below A turquoise, crescent-shaped, with pearly wedge. Across the valley, clouds caress the edge Where flowers that cling to higher levels, grow. A spring, new-born of gentle Mother Snow, Now fills my cup -- I drink a solemn pledge To help erase the human sacrilege That hides creation's glory, dims its glow.
