First Line: As I go walking down the street
Last Line: "the lads those lasses court are dead."
Alternate Author Name(s): Davies, W. H.
Subject(s): War

AS I go walking down the street
Many's the lad and lass I meet;
There's many a soldier I see pass,
And every soldier has his lass.

But when I saw the others there,
The women that black mourning wear,
"Judged by the looks of these," I said,
"The lads those lasses court are dead."
