THE EXPLORER, by
First Line: There was no bread the night he left
Last Line: To where we are.
Subject(s): Unemployment

There was no bread the night he left,
But he was better off by far
Than he who labored, dreamed and wept.
He saw a star
Blaze forth in all its radiance;
And, child-like, followed it too far
To even think of coming back
To where we are.
