LOVE'S WILDWOOD TRAIL, by OLIVER MURRAY EDWARDS First Line: There's a trail that leads Last Line: With his shafts and bow for thee. Subject(s): Cupid; Hearts; Love; Passion; Eros | ||||||||
There's a trail that leads To the wildwood's depths Where often I dream of thee, 'Neath the forest trees While the sun shines through And the wild birds sing to me. 'Tis a trail of love Where the wild flowers bloom, And the heart and soul are free; Thou canst tread on moss, Rest on balsam boughs, Where only the birds can see. The dreams of my heart Thou canst make come true If thou wilt but come with me To the wildwood's depths Where sly Cupid waits With his shafts and bow for thee. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...MESSAGE FROM THE SLEEPER AT HELL'S MOUTH: 6.
