IN TUSCANY: MINOR NOTES; TWELVE RISPETTI: 11, by CORA RANDALL FABBRI First Line: I leave the fields with all their bold bright flowers Last Line: And bring my old dead joys to the old trees. | ||||||||
I leave the fields with all their bold bright flowers, With all their mellow sun and song of streams, To seek the woods that have calm twilight hours The sleeping woods, whose birds are spoken dreams. I leave the fields to such as smile and sing, To such as find new joys in the new Spring. I leave the new Spring joys to the young leas, And bring my old dead joys to the old trees. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...A THOUGHT by CORA RANDALL FABBRI A WINTER PIECE by CORA RANDALL FABBRI ABSENCE by CORA RANDALL FABBRI AN OLD MAID by CORA RANDALL FABBRI DECEPTION by CORA RANDALL FABBRI DIED YOUNG by CORA RANDALL FABBRI HEART SONGS by CORA RANDALL FABBRI IN TUSCANY: A SEA-SPELL by CORA RANDALL FABBRI IN TUSCANY: ANITA by CORA RANDALL FABBRI |
