A melody so haunting
Has woven a fairy spell,
Its charming theme of romance
Within our hearts to dwell.

It seems to tell a story
Of something rare and fine,
Love in all its mystery
Between your life and mine.

The miles that lie between us
Are nothing if we hear
The magic strains of Liebestraum --
Our dream of love, my dear.
