FALLEN AVIATOR, by
First Line: In life, you sought to clip his wings and bind
Last Line: I hear his eager wings released in flight.
Subject(s): Aviation & Aviators; Airplanes; Air Pilots

In life, you sought to clip his wings and bind
His vision to insensate earth. I find
You mourning here beside his broken form
No longer vibrant to the fire-shot storm
That laughed with him across uncharted skies....
The form that fed your wifely lust. Your eyes
Are dim with jealous tears ... you curse the clouds above
That lured him from your vanquished, earth-bound love.

While I, with love for him inconsummate,
Find peace in wind and rain, as he. I wait ...
Am reconciled ... for in the sensuous night
I hear his eager wings released in flight.
