Subject(s): Birds; Bluebirds; Gardens & Gardening

A bluebird found a hole in my old china tree,
"Chir-rip, chir-ree,"
He said to me.
"Go on in,"
I said to him,
"And I shall gladly your hostess be."

Another one joined him from not far away,
"Chir-rip, chir-ray,"
She was so gay!
"Yes, I know
He's your beau.
I, too, was married the month of May."

Three more in the little hole now there be,
"Chee-chee, chee-chee,"
So say all three.
House or nest,
Which is best?
God fits the need for them as for me.
