PRELUDE FOR LOT'S WIFE, by
First Line: Let soft white silver of her tears
Last Line: A pillar of salt.
Subject(s): Fear; God; Salt; Tears

Let soft white silver of her tears
Cake crystal all her fears
That Babel-like rise
To pry sorrow
From God's eyes.
Soon comes the morrow
When they meet --
Stalagmite
And stalactite --
To complete
With sudden halt
A pillar of salt.
