O the wonder of living while May is here giving
Ten thousand new dreams. Who unfurled
New blue in the sky, new gold in the vale
New bonnets, new scarlet, new caps
For the blossom, the bud and the bush;
New songs for the singers in forest and dale;
New marvels of love for the world.

I laugh with her madness, her joy and her gladness
For they leap from the earth as I look;
I laugh with the sweetness of her as I listen
To bleat of the sheep from the woods;
To new waters that click crystal heels
On stony descents -- I thrill as I christen
Each naked new dream in the brook.
