ON MAUI ISLE, by J. F. HARRIS First Line: The moon-drenched sea is calm tonight Last Line: Than thy night is to me. Subject(s): Maui Island, Hawaii | ||||||||
The moon-drenched sea is calm tonight From Oahu to Maui's sands And high, beyond its harbor light, Iao Needle stands. On yonder isle, soon to arise, Her mind untrammeled, free, Far from my side a maiden lies I would could lie with me. Lie easy, sweet. Thy dream be bright. Thy sleep bring smiles to thee; And kinder be to thee thy night Than thy night is to me. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...MAUI: CONCERTO FOR ISLAND AND DEVELOPER by ALFRED DEWITT CORN STANZAS FROM MAUI by MICHAEL THOMAS MCCLURE HALEAKALA, MAUI by PAUL NELSON HONOLULU GARDEN by J.
