WAITING, by                    
First Line: My window looks upon the sea

My window looks upon the sea
Across far shining beaches
Where endless sunlit waves ride free
Beyond the sandy reaches.

My woman's soul is on that sea,
A venturing bark returning,
With the gracious gift of God for me
Responsive to my yearning.

The sweet winds sigh through white-flung sails
Soft as an angel's winging,
Into the stress of harbor gales
Divine adventure bringing.

And so I wait, and waiting know
The magnitude of giving
A human soul, for weal or woe,
Experience in living.
