CHARADE: 15, by                     Poet's Biography
First Line: My whole is but a species of my third
Last Line: My first indeed he may, but not my whole, be reckoned.
Subject(s): Gentlemen

MY whole is but a species of my third,
Yet has my third no right to such a name
Unless my first and second form a word,
To which he lays an undisputed claim;
But if my whole renounce my first and second,
My first indeed he may, but not my whole, be reckoned.
