LYRICAL INTERLUDE: 21, by                     Poet's Biography
First Line: The flutes and fiddles are sounding
Last Line: And weeping many a tear.
Subject(s): Marriage; Weddings; Husbands; Wives

THE flutes and fiddles are sounding,
The trumpets ringing clear;
In the wedding dance is bounding
My heart's own mistress dear.

The shawms and kettle-drums vying
In noisy chorus I hear;
But meanwhile good angels are sighing
And weeping many a tear.
