NIGHT SONG, by
First Line: My sleep is cool quicksilver and I swim
Last Line: I swim in quiet waters, cool and deep.
Subject(s): Night; Bedtime

My sleep is cool quicksilver and I swim
So swiftly through her depths, only the night
Can hear me as I float inside the rim
Of silence. Stars bend down and yearn for sight
Of me, all white and silver, but the dim
And half resentful moon withholds his light.
No shadows on the shore disturb my sleep.
I swim in quiet waters, cool and deep.
