THERE IS NO DEATH, by                    
First Line: Pansies are best for early spring
Last Line: "pansies are for remembering."

Pansies are best for early spring;
I buy them for remembering

And plant them quickly all around
A small grey stone and tiny mound.

I do not think of her as clay;
But, older grown, she seems to say:

"My mother plants them every spring;
Pansies are for remembering."
