A CHILD'S THOUGHTS AT MIDNIGHT, by
First Line: The hours go swiftly flying past
Last Line: The universe to god.
Subject(s): Night; Bedtime

The hours go swiftly flying past
With fingers locked together;

The sun and moon toil night and day
No matter what the weather;

Forever is a long, long time
And so is Eternity --

Throughout the whole, wide Universe,
I am the only Me.

My thoughts, like hours, go fleeting by,
Until with sleep I nod;

I close my eyes and, henceforth, leave
The universe to God.
