Do lovers' tongues sound more silver-sweet
By day or night, because a round rich
Phrasing records the fairy-fact complete?

Does any mistress write a better
Letter to her Lover
Because Heloise could cover
Every phase of love in one
Most lovely letter?

Does the woman you love
Bring a passion more resistless
For the songs of Whitman,
For the throngs of loving thoughts
Of which he was the loving master?

Because of them
Can you vow your love
The faster?
