I WILL build for thee with reverent hands A fairy place for thy soul to rest, Fashioned of dreams in a world outworn, Deep in the heart of the crimson West, Scented with spices of fragrant lands, I will fashion a shrine of desires new-born. I will weave thee a robe of the moon's pale beams, On the shadowy loom of my strange desire, Broidered with many an exquisite rhyme; I will shroud thy beauty's mystical fire With the opal-coloured veils of dreams Far from the envious eyes of Time. | Discover our poem explanations - click here!Other Poems of Interest...IN THE CREVICE OF TIME by JOSEPHINE JACOBSEN THE SURVIVOR AMONG GRAVES by RANDALL JARRELL SUBJECTED EARTH by ROBINSON JEFFERS THE GRAVE OF MRS.
