Dear Lord:
I do not seek
To know it all
Even were it possible
For finite mind
So to do.
But let me learn enough
Songs and psalms,
Atoms and cells,
Birds and flowers,
Rocks and streams,
And storms and stars
To believe in Thee
And in the integrity
Of Thy universe;
To preserve the Soil—
The source of Life—
For all posterity;
And to trust and serve
My fellow man
Wherever he may be.
Amen.
