That we may not brood -- concerning that which is hidden to thought, lest we fall into confusion. For only from that which we comprehend are we able to recognize also that which we cannot comprehend. & to that end word-spheres arose. For language comprehends only that out of which it comes since humanity is unable to grasp the word of the divine, & the letters of the alphabet, but only the word of language itself. & there are no words outside the letters of the alphabet. & all the divine words are given to be meditated upon. For all spheres fill themselves up from a sphere above & they are given in order to meditate from the sphere-word that appears in your heart, to meditate up to the infinite. For there is no path to prayer other than that whereby humanity is sucked up by finite words & rises in thinking to the infinite. Used with the permission of Copper Canyon Press, P.O.
