Subject(s): Baby Boom Generation; Fathers; Harvest

One generation did not see them come.
Among them there was many a hoary head.
The glow of youth shone on the brow of some
Who passed. The list was long of famous dead.
They were not equal on the roll of fame,
For there were those who served their country well
While others only lived to have their name
Praised loud by men; or see their fortune swell.
By merit, some to deathless glory leaped
And others won their goal by sinful snares.
But Father Time in one year's harvest reaped
Them all. He garnered in both wheat and tares.
