First Line: Away, little tender heart from me, away!
Last Line: Little trembling heart, from me away!

AWAY, little tender heart from me, away!
I will not keep
Thee fluttering in the cage I made so strong,
My love, that should have held thee long!
Thee, aye!
Thou didst lie quietly once, asleep;
Awake, dost beat
Against the golden wires.
Oh! stay, panting dear pain upon my passion -- fires
That scare thee so.
Lo! they shall part and free thee, sweet.
One life's-drop on thy wing --
A sting? -- Yes, that might break so frail a thing --
No, no; no, no; -- fly free!
See, I can bear the smart for thee;
Will thee no ill.
Little trembling heart, from me away!
