PERVASIVE WILL, by FANIA KRUGER First Line: The night wind moans throughout my nimble will Last Line: And morning strengthens my pervasive will. | ||||||||
The night wind moans throughout my nimble will, And darkness gathers strains of deep deceit. Fiercer than winds that devastate the hill, My pulse is leaping to a faster beat. I watch the stalks freeze long before the frost; I hear the young: "Life comes but to betray!" Are we indeed forsaken, and the lost Perceiving only dark through cold dismay? Are we a hunted people, rancored race? Then why the waking sun, the starry spheres? Custodians of light, must live in grace Throughout their span, beyond their finite years. The sun arises like a beacon still And morning strengthens my pervasive will. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...DREAMER'S MEADOW by FANIA KRUGER RIVER OF MEMORIES by FANIA KRUGER THE CZAR PASSES by FANIA KRUGER WHOM THE NEW MOON MOCKS by FANIA KRUGER LAUGHTER (YOUTH SPEAKS TO HIS OWN OLD AGE) by CONRAD AIKEN TO THE UNKNOWN EROS: BOOK 2: 3.
