SNOW REST, by CARMELITA A. LECLAIR First Line: The down of angels wafted slowly to the earth Last Line: Obscured as the floss in a blanket heaven-made. Subject(s): Angels; Snow; White (color); Winter | ||||||||
The down of angels wafted slowly to the earth, A feathery magnificence of cream and crystal merging. Crispy with freshness and effervescing with mirth Into a glittering shimmer, delightfully purging. So chaste, so white, so pensive it did seem As on the crest of a wind wave it was weighed, Then sent to an unknown spot to gleam Obscured as the floss in a blanket heaven-made. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...LOOKING EAST IN THE WINTER by JOHN HOLLANDER WINTER DISTANCES by FANNY HOWE WINTER FORECAST by JOSEPHINE JACOBSEN AT WINTER'S EDGE by JUDY JORDAN CHAMBER MUSIC: 34 by JAMES JOYCE REMINISCING by CARMELITA A.
