END OF DAY, by
First Line: This is the time I like best of all
Last Line: The end of a cumbersome day?
Subject(s): Evening; Sunset; Twilight

This is the time I like best of all
When the day is nearly done,
The fire low, the hearth clean swept
And the children drowsy with fun.
I sit by the embers and watch their glow,
A few sparks crackle and play.
Will you come to me soon and watch by the fire
The end of a cumbersome day?
