SEMINOLE SONG CYCLE: LULLABY, by
First Line: See that baby star on high
Last Line: On my little brown papoose.
Subject(s): Native Americans; Seminole Indians; Indians Of America; American Indians; Indians Of South America

See that baby star on high,
Winking, blinking, in the sky,
Time to sing a lullaby
To my little brown papoose.

Sleep is but a white canoe
Sailing on a sea of blue,
Coming, little one, for you,
For my little brown papoose.

With tomorrow it will come,
Sailing lightly back to home,
Sailing gay and frolicsome,
With my little brown papoose.

Cuddle down, while shadows creep,
In the white canoe of sleep;
The Great Spirit watch will keep
On my little brown papoose.
