First Line: The streams that wind from every source
Last Line: My heart will turn to yours.
Subject(s): Love

The streams that wind from every source,
By mountain, glade and steep,
Then swell the rivers as they course
To distant oceans deep;
As gravity unfolds her sway
So real romance allures;
Thus o'er the far miles of the way
My heart will turn to yours.

Too often 'tis a fleeting glow
That captivates the heart;
For feigned affection here below
Deludes with subtle art;
Yet nowise like the thing defined
And always different, far,
Is love that's with the heart entwined
As starlight with a star.

As turns the moon around again
O'er city, town and bower,
As turn all orbs that move within
The sun's encircling power
Which, piercing far the fields above,
A lasting band insures;
Thus in the fadeless light of love
My heart will turn to yours.

Love, like the glittering orb of day,
The mystic moon of night,
And like the stars will cheer the way
At every road-end bright;
When fond endearments round me fling
Each charm that aye endures,
When all their prized allurements cling,
My heart will turn to yours.
