THE VALLEY WIND, by LU YUN First Line: Living in retirement beyond the world Last Line: My cottage becomes a universe. Alternate Author Name(s): Shih-lung Subject(s): China - Middle Ages (600 B.c.- 618 A.d.); Retirement | ||||||||

My spirit is tuned to the Spring-season: At the fall of the year there is autumn in my heart. Thus imitating cosmic changes My cottage becomes a Universe. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THE RETIREMENT by IRVING FELDMAN THOUGHTS OF A RETIRED DIAMOND CUTTER by ELEANOR WILNER SWINEHERD by EILEAN NI CHUILLEANAIN FAREWELL TO ARMS by GEORGE PEELE THE LAMENTATION OF THE OLD PENSIONER (1) by WILLIAM BUTLER YEATS THE LAMENTATION OF THE OLD PENSIONER (2) by WILLIAM BUTLER YEATS PAX BRITANNICA by ALFRED AUSTIN |
