HIDDEN, by FLORENCE VAN FLEET LYMAN First Line: My garden flowers, I know them all Last Line: I hide within my heart. Subject(s): Bashfulness; Flowers; Gardens & Gardening; Hearts; Shyness | ||||||||
My garden flowers, I know them all And yet I cannot tell The way they grow and bud and bloom -- It's hid from me so well. I smell their fragrance everywhere, But never do I see From whence it comes nor where it goes -- It is a mystery. And I too am a baffling one: I do my daily part; But no one knows me as I am; I hide within my heart. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...LADY-SLIPPER by STELLA PFEIFFER BAISCH COMPENSATION by GLADYS CROMWELL BASHFUL GLEESON by EDWARD DYSON BASHFUL JOHNNY by GEORGE G.
