"What do the tourists say?" I asked our guide When entering the great Yosemite. "Do most of them, enthralled, quote poetry? His old eyes twinkled, while he turned to hide His smiling lips, but finally replied (Albeit ever so reluctantly As if he knew that I would not agree Or understand, yet he was loathe to chide:) "Well, lady, them as likes it best of all Says -- nothin'!" On we rode, without a word, Save my disgusted comment: "How absurd."
