I would loiter, could I have my way, Along the garden paths at break of day, I would linger while the dawn was new Where lily chalices are gemmed with dew. Rest for a time away from noon-day heat Within the leafy arbor's cool retreat. In the dusky hour 'tween day and dark Watch for the stars' first candle-spark. And when the sheen of moonlight charms anew I fainbut there are tasks to do.
