OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY, by CATHERINE MCALEESE First Line: In a little chapel lowly / kneels a child Last Line: Of our lady of the rosary. Subject(s): Angels; Prayer; Saints | ||||||||
In a little chapel lowly, Kneels a child, saying slowly Prayers to Mary, Mother, Queen; And as she pauses once or more To meditate -- she seems to soar To far-off regions still unseen -- To our Lady of the Rosary. Each prayer the lisping lips recite A little angel in its flight Plucks as a rosebud to entwine And twine again into a wreath -- A fitting gift to take beneath His wing to lay before the shrine Of our Lady of the Rosary. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...ST.
