JUST FOR TODAY, by MAGGIE BLANCHE MCELHINEY First Line: Starting on another day Last Line: Thy help I implore just for today. Alternate Author Name(s): Mcelhiney, Blanche Subject(s): Prayer; Strength | ||||||||
Starting on another day, Father guide me all the way; Last night's sorrow let me leave; Not in this day, must I weave E'en a trace; 'twould blot this day; So for Thy guidance, now I pray. More than once I've wondered why I've death escaped, and on must try; Now I feel there must be An increasing purpose here for me. Teach, or wilt Thou some way show That I may in new strength grow; Lead me I'll follow all the way; Thy help I implore just for today. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THE MAN SPLITTING WOOD IN THE DAYBREAK by GALWAY KINNELL RESENTMENT by RICHARD ALDINGTON I WILL NOT BE CLAIMED by MARVIN BELL FRESCOES FOR MR.
