Christ the Lord is risen today,
Grave is cheated of its prey,
Ended now is Death's dark sway,
Christ our Lord is risen today!

Hail the Christ from grave arisen,
Hail Him Who with foe hath striven,
Hail Him Who death's bonds hath riven,
Hail Him Who hath burst His prison!

Hail Him Jesus, tempted, tried,
Hail Him Man who Self denied,
Hail Him Christ, the crucified,
Hail Him Lord, now glorified!

Hail ye Him Whose words ye pray,
Hail ye Him with us alway,
Hail ye Him, and Him obey,
Hail Him Lord this Easter Day!
