SPRING ON TIMBERLINE, by GRACE MEREDITH First Line: Elsewhere there are green trees tonight Last Line: Is beauty blowing. Subject(s): Spring | ||||||||
Elsewhere there are green trees tonight and gentle winds are blowing, but here the trees are veiled in white and it is snowing. Elsewhere there is the breath of spring and early flowers are showing, but here the pine's a sturdy thing of eager growing. Elsewhere there is the loveliness of spring's bestowing, but here the Timberline's white dress is beauty blowing. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...SPRING LEMONADE by TONY HOAGLAND A SPRING SONG by LYMAN WHITNEY ALLEN SPRING'S RETURN by GEORGE LAWRENCE ANDREWS ODE TO SPRING by ANNA LETITIA BARBAULD ODE TO SPRING by ANNA LETITIA BARBAULD SPRING FLOODS by MAURICE BARING SPRING IN WINTER by CHARLOTTE FISKE BATES SPRING ON THE PRAIRIE by HERBERT BATES |
