MY PONY, by EUNICE J. MILES First Line: I have a pony all my own Last Line: When riding on his back. Subject(s): Animals; Horses | ||||||||
I have a pony all my own; His coat is shining brown; I ride him almost every day On errands into town. He trots along so gaily And he holds his head so high, Just like a circus pony When the big parade goes by. And every morning when I go To feed him in his stall, He neighs and lifts a tiny foot No larger than a ball. He never runs away from me Or stumbles in his track, So I am always safe and glad When riding on his back. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...ALL THE LITTLE HOOFPRINTS by ROBINSON JEFFERS ROAN STALLION by ROBINSON JEFFERS THE HORSES by KATHARINE LEE BATES DANCERS AT THE MOY by PAUL MULDOON CRAZY HORSE SPEAKS: 3 by SHERMAN ALEXIE |
