So many things to learn and see --
So many things to do and be --
We are encompassed and imbued
With limitless infinitude.

So many years -- behind -- ahead --
The vast unborn -- the countless dead --
Interminable sky and sea
And undefined eternity.

Innumerable nights and noons,
A billion stars -- recurring moons --
The central sun's revolving light --
The miracles of sound and sight.

The astral planets set in space
And each in its appointed place;
The cross, the crown, the rule, the rod --
The answer can be only -- God!
