WE THANK THEE, by

Last Line: Are the proofs of thy love.

We thank Thee, dear Father,
For our blessings today:
For the joy of just living,
For the power to pray;
For the ties that bind us
(Sweet bonds without end)
To homeland and kindred,
To neighbor and friend;
For the pleasure in doing
Just commonplace tasks;
For the guidance that's given
To the spirit that asks;
For the beauty all round us
In earth and in sky --
Where'er our gaze wanders,
It gladdens the eye;
For the soil that's beneath us
And the great stars above --
For all these, dear Father,
Are the proofs of Thy love.
