WE'LL MOTHER THE TOWN WITH MOTHER, by ADA CORA PARK First Line: Our little ones demand us Last Line: "at the ""come to order!"" call." Subject(s): Clubs (associations); Mothers | ||||||||
Our little ones demand us, We mother them at home; We've time for but a look-in When club days come. Our mothers mothered us, But now may lonely be, Although they're busy mothering A whole community. Soon our clinging children Older will be grown; Then hand in hand with mother We'll mother all the town. Oh, sisters of our club life, We need each other all! Our hearts grow warmer, happier, At the "Come to order!" call. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...MY MOTHER'S HANDS by ANDREW HUDGINS CONTINENT'S END by ROBINSON JEFFERS IN THE 25TH YEAR OF MY MOTHER'S DEATH by JUDY JORDAN THE PAIDLIN' WEAN by ALEXANDER ANDERSON |
