SOME years ago, the Irish held The championships in fee And, now and then, some Englishmen Would cross the briny sea. Then Germans and Italians strove To pad the fistic news, Until their crowns were neatly snatched By Polish lads and Jews. Now, agile Frenchmen jab and hook, While Chileans jolt and swing, And men from Argentina claim Much honor in the ring!
