Careless and free
Under God's sun:
Then we were one
That had been three.
Ye were two men,
That had been three,
That had been one:
For one was gone:
Ye were two men.
You are one man,
That have been three,
That have been one:
For two are gone.
You are one man.
We are three men;
Three men we be;
Once we were one,
But that is done.
We are three men.
